A Nasser fellow among 30 young professionals under 30 years has been chosen in 2022 IMF Youth Fellowship
The International Monetary Fund announced the selection of the influential youth Amr Ramadan among the list of 30 young people under the age of thirty, and the most influential in the world, to participate in the Fund’s Youth Fellowship for 2022. He is member of the International Media Committee of the Nasser Youth Movement, a graduate of the Nasser Scholarship for International Leadership, the only Egyptian, and one of only five Arab youth selected. His win came after a very strong competitive process among more than 4,000 young people worldwide.
For his part, Amr Ramadan expressed his happiness to join this unique experience as a representative of Egypt in a huge event among effective and globally influential youth leaders. He stressed his determination to explain how the economic programs provided by the World Bank Fund for youth, and how to use them more effectively to advance sustainable development.
On the other hand, Ramadan is one of the most staunch defenders of the values of social justice, climate justice and workers’ rights, especially the fair wage system. He is one of the contributors to spreading awareness about many pivotal issues through his platforms such as the climate crisis, the global economic crisis, the food and supply chain crisis, and others.
It is noteworthy that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership was launched in July 2019, as a youth grant to transfer the Egyptian development experience, under the patronage of the President of the Republic. It takes place nnually with the participation of about 150 young women from different countries of the world. Three patches have been achieved so far, with a total of 420 young leaders from 65 countries around the world. Many of those joined the Nasser International Youth Movement as a global youth platform that brings together the most influential youth and represents a space for exchanging experiences and ideas and coming up with recommendations for decision-makers locally and internationally.
