A member of Nasser Youth Movement in Kenya appointed as CEO of NGAAF

The young Kenyan Roy Sasaka Telewa, former CEO of National Youth Council in Kenya and member of Nasser Youth Movement (NYM) was appointed as CEO of National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) of Kenya’s Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs. This fund is concerned with improving the livelihood of the poor including women, youth, people with special needs, children and the elderly in order to empower them socially and economically through providing financial support to achieve the comprehensive sustainable development based on participation. 


Roy Sasaka Telewa stated that he will do his best to serve the Kenyan youth and community with all competencies and powers he has. He pointed out his readiness to support all actionable community initiatives and youth projects that aims at reaching the goals of the fund of serving, socially empowering and enhancing the participation of the target groups in public life. He called on youth to move forward with implementing their plans and projects in strength and confidence. 


In a related context, Hassan Ghazaly, the founder and general coordinator of NYM expressed - on his social media account - his pride and honor of the actions confidently taken by the leaders and members of the movement in their career paths and highly influential fieldworks. He stressed his keenness to continue launching programs which aims to exploit youth potentials in the fields of development, skill-building and sharing national experience. He noted that the movement is a platform to gather the most influential youth from five continents (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Australia) in which its coordinators work diligently to develop and enhance the participation of their peers on the national and international levels.
