Suez Canal Bank Delivers Awareness Session on “Social Responsibility” and “Financial Inclusion” as Part of the Fifth Edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership

As part of its commitment to supporting and empowering youth and promoting the principles of financial inclusion and social responsibility, Suez Canal Bank delivered a specialized awareness session on “Social Responsibility” and “Financial Inclusion” within the activities of the fifth edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership. The fellowship is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and in partnership with the United Nations, under the theme “Egypt and the United Nations: 80 Years Representing the Issues of the Global South.”

During the session, Nour Elzeny, Head of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility, presented the bank’s key efforts in the field of social responsibility, aiming to encourage youth to actively participate in community development. The session also outlined the main pillars of the bank’s strategy for achieving financial inclusion and ways to empower unbanked segments of society.

In this context, Nour Elzeny emphasized the importance of financial inclusion as a central tool for achieving sustainable development. She noted that “Suez Canal Bank believes in the role of youth as leaders in building the future and is committed to providing a banking experience that meets their needs and aspirations.”

Elzeny urged the young attendees of the fellowship to act as ambassadors of community development upon returning to their countries by working to innovate and develop developmental and financial initiatives that contribute to economically empowering various segments of society and enhancing financial inclusion, which in turn supports sustainable economic growth.

For his part, Omar Gamal, Deputy Head of the Financial Inclusion Department at the bank, conducted a workshop explaining the concept of financial inclusion. He highlighted the bank’s experience in promoting financial literacy through both traditional means and digital channels, in line with the state and Central Bank’s strategy for digital transformation.

The session also showcased a range of innovative banking products and services offered by the bank, specifically designed for young people. Among these is the “Bedaya” (Beginning) account, aimed at economically empowering youth and encouraging them to save.

The session witnessed strong engagement from the participating young people representing more than 80 countries worldwide. They expressed interest in the bank’s experience. The session concluded with an interactive competition designed to reinforce the concepts presented in an innovative way. Prizes and commemorative gifts were distributed to participants, which contributed to an atmosphere of motivation and engagement.

It is worth mentioning that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership is among the most prominent international youth initiatives. It aims to share the Egyptian experience in building national institutions and fostering a culture of youth dialogue at the global level.

The activities of the fifth edition of the fellowship were held last month, with the participation of 150 young men and women from 80 countries around the world, in the honorable presence of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs.

Suez Canal Bank’s participation reflects its continuous commitment to supporting sustainable development efforts and its pursuit of positive engagement with national and international initiatives that empower youth, promote financial literacy, and establish financial inclusion as a cornerstone of economic and social growth.
