Rawan El-Seifi: Nasser Fellowship Graduate Represents Egypt in Youth Dialogue Program in Armenia

Rawan El-Seifi, a graduate of the second cohort of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership and the Global South School of Solidarity, participated as one of the most prominent young figures in the “Yerevan Youth Dialogue Fellows 2025” program. The program was hosted in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, from May 25 to 30, 2025, as part of the broader Yerevan Dialogue Forum. During her participation, Al-Saifi presented a positive and inspiring image of Egyptian youth and their ability to engage with and contribute to global platforms.
El-Seifi’s participation came by official invitation from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She joined a select group of 25 young leaders from across the world who were carefully chosen to represent youth perspectives on key international issues. Over the course of a week filled with intellectual discussions and cross-cultural dialogue, participants engaged in workshops and intensive meetings with prominent officials and international leaders. The program offered a real space for meaningful exchange at a time when the world is undergoing rapid changes that call for new approaches led by younger generations.
On May 26 and 27, 2025, Yerevan hosted the latest edition of the “Yerevan Dialogue Forum,” a global platform established in 2024 to promote understanding and cooperation among nations. The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking political figures, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, along with a distinguished group of ministers, intellectuals, and thought leaders from various continents. The forum focused on vital issues such as regional security, sustainable development, and global policymaking in a fast-changing world.
Rawan El-Seifi, a graduate of the Nasser Fellowship and one of the young female leaders representing Egypt, described her participation in this international forum as “a one-of-a-kind experience.” She noted that it allowed her to directly engage with an exceptional group of global youth and thought leaders, and to explore strategic topics such as modern governance, artificial intelligence, and green development.
She added, “What I experienced in Yerevan was more than just participation. It was a rich intellectual and human journey that expanded my knowledge, particularly in understanding Armenian history and culture.” Her participation also included a warm and productive meeting with Ambassador Serenad Gamil, Egypt’s Ambassador to Armenia and non-resident Ambassador to Georgia. Their discussion addressed bilateral relations and exchanged views on key themes of the international forum.
From her participation in Yerevan, El-Seifi not only represented Egypt in an honorable manner, but also delivered an inspiring message to young people in Egypt and around the world. She urged them to remain hopeful, be courageous, and approach international opportunities with confidence and awareness. She emphasized that the road to success begins with believing in oneself and working with sincerity. She saw her experience at the forum as a living example of what young people can achieve when they push past fear and seize opportunities. She highlighted the importance of not giving in to hesitation or despair, pointing out that the world is full of opportunities for those who are determined. She encouraged youth to actively pursue their goals and move steadily toward their ambitions by developing flexible and innovative approaches.
The “Yerevan Youth Dialogue Fellows” program is regarded as one of the leading strategic initiatives on the international stage. It aims to build a strong global network of capable young leaders who can effectively contribute to shaping more inclusive and responsive policies. The program is based on the principles of dialogic diplomacy and creative collaboration, seeking to empower young people to play central roles in shaping an international landscape that demands new perspectives, adaptable tools, and youthful voices able to challenge traditional frameworks. In a world that is rapidly evolving and undergoing deep political, economic, and social transformations, this kind of initiative underscores the view that investing in youth is not a choice, but a necessity for building a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable future.
