The first Armenian alumni of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership hosted by Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Cairo
Ambassador Mr. Hrachya Poladyan Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, hosted Hagop Makdis and Tsovinar Sargsyan, the first Armenian participants in the third edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership program, which was held under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, with the participation of 150 young leaders from non-aligned countries and friendly countries, during the period from May 31 to June 17 2022 at the Engineering Authority House in Cairo.
During the meeting his excellency Ambassador Hrachya Poladyan discussed with alumni the prospects of the Armenian-Egyptian economic cooperation, as well as the role of the Armenian youth in strengthening the economic ties between Armenia and the Arab countries.
The Nasser Fellowship is considered to be the result of Egypt's long-term efforts aimed at stimulating the education, and development of non-aligned countries and friendly countries youth and gaining their leading positions in governing bodies. It is important to note that the program provides an opportunity for young people from all corners of the globe to acquire business connections that will serve as a solid foundation for mutual assistance and mutual understanding in the future. The Nasser Fellowship also centralizes efforts to achieve the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals, South South cooperation.
Speaking about the process itself, alumni of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership highlights that the lessons were held at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Assembly, the Prime Minister's office, the Police Academy and a number of reputable structures that have made an invaluable contribution to the development of young leaders.
