The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports prepares to launch Nasser Fellowship for National Leadership in its fourth batch which is scheduled to be held next June under the slogan “Non-Aligned Youth and South-South Cooperation” with the participation of 150 young men and women from youth leaders around the world.
Nasser Fellowship is one of the executive mechanisms for the recommendations of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, president of the Republic, to support qualified African youth, enable them to create a comprehensive and pivotal vision linked to global issues and sustainable development plans, and support opportunities to promote the Egyptian role globally. It comes within the framework of implementing Egypt's vision for sustainable development goals 2030, Africa's Agenda 2063, and the South-South cooperation strategy.
It is worth mentioning that the first batch of Nasser Fellowship was implemented in June 2019 under the auspices of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, as a continuation of the efforts of the Egyptian country in strengthening the role of African youth through training, qualification and empowerment in various leadership positions, and for the Egyptian country to play its role in qualifying and empowering African youth, and within the framework of President El-Sisi's call to implement the African Union 2021 initiative to prepare one million young people for leadership, which was launched during the activities of the World Youth Forum in its second batch 2018 and its third batch 2019. The second batch of Nasser Fellowship was implemented in June 2021, which expanded to include young leaders from the continents of Asia, Latin America and Africa.
After the wide international acclaim and the resounding success of the second batch, the third batch was held in June 2022, and the registration form is scheduled to be launched for young people wishing to apply for the Fellowship in its fourth batch during the coming period.
