The Ministry of Youth and Sports organized a dialogue session entitled "The values ​​and principles of media and its international impact", in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, at the closing activities of the sixth day of the Gamal Abdel Nasser's Fellowship for International Leadership, in its third edition, organized under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Sisi, President of the Republic, during the period from May 31 to June 17, 2022 at the Engineering Authority House, Cairo under the slogan "Non-Aligned Youth and South- South Cooperation.” The closing dialogue session of the activities of the sixth day of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, in its third edition, which came about the values ​​and principles of the media and its international impact, hosted Ahmed Galal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation, Ali Hassan, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Middle East News Agency, and Iyad Abu Al-Hajjaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dar Al-Tahrir Foundation, and managed by the honorable media presenter, Nashat Al-Daihi. For his part, Ali Hassan, editor-in-chief of the Middle East News Agency, thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, for the efforts made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the framework of supporting youth, explaining that the Egyptian state, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic pays great attention to youth and is aware of their message. He also appreciated them for their well organisatin.

Egypt’s youth are half of the present and all the future, and Egypt throughout its long history is proud of its youth. The President also pays great attention to the world’s youth, as I meet with them in Youth conferences and forums in Sharm El Sheikh, and these forums have a positive impact on the youth of the countries of the world. Hassan added that the battle of awareness is a very important battle because the target in societies are young people in order to change their identity and change their values, that is why it is necessary to raise awareness among them, especially in light of the abundance and flow of information and in light of the so-called new media and social networking sites, calling on professional technical media to confront rumors and respond to lies with a focus on preserving the national identity and the unique Egyptian personality that gave birth to the finest men, scholars and heroes of the armed forces and the Egyptian police, where everyone must raise awareness and be constantly keen to ensure that security and stability prevail throughout the region. At the end of his speech, he asked the youth of Egypt and the world to obtain information from its official sources and to stay away from rumors where awareness can be maintained with more concern for correct, certainty and honest knowledge.

In his speech at the closing session of the activities of the sixth day of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, journalist Ahmed Galal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation, welcomed the young participating from different countries and continents in the third batch of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, pointing out that youth are the future and hope, and that we must build our future ourselves because the circumstances that occur around us in the world change the shape and map of the world, and therefore these circumstances must be the beginning of raising awareness among citizens and youth particularly in the light of the importance of forming awareness and confronting rumors that negatively affect the achievements of the Egyptian state and the efforts made in various sector.

He praised the programs of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in introducing the Egyptian youth to the challenges facing the Egyptian state and the concept of rumors and how to distinguish between them and the correct facts and news, classifying rumors and showing their impact on the individual and society. During his speech at the closing session of the activities of the sixth day of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, journalist Iyad Abu Al-Hajjaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al-Tahrir Foundation, pointed out that one of the most important political and social gains achieved by the national youth conferences is that it helped strengthening Egyptians’ awareness of the challenges facing the state amid the Egyptian political leadership’s policy of openness and frankness in providing all the state’s information to the Egyptians as partners in governance and decision-making, reviewing a number of the many achievements the Egyptian state is witnessing now in all fields such as education, health and the many projects that indicate the conscious leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, which plans and implements on the ground.

Al-Hajjaj stressed that the youth must preserve the gains and achievements made on the ground and increase their awareness by seeing the existing achievements and what official channels are showing about them, as awareness is to preserve the good and stability that we are in it, explaining that illiteracy is the scourge of all countries, and Egypt pays great attention to eradicating illiteracy, and we have many classes to eradicate illiteracy as there is no awareness with the presence of illiteracy. For their part, the youth leaders participating in the third batch of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian political leadership and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their generous sponsorship and hosting of the Fellowship, stressing that Egypt was and is still making great efforts with its brothers in various countries of the world. The participants of the Fellowship directed a number of questions, inquiries and interventions at the end of the dialogue session of the activities of the sixth day of the fellowship, which came about the role of the media, amid interaction, warm welcome and happiness from everyone in this distinguished session.

For his part, Hassan Ghazaly, General Coordinator of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, indicated that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, in its third edition, is being sponsored by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the second time in a row, and comes with the participation of youth leaders representing many social segments targeted by the fellowship this year, among them, the branches of the National Youth Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, the heads of the National Youth Councils, the members of the local councils, researchers in strategic research and intellectual centers, in addition to members of professional syndicates, as well as media professionals, journalists and social entrepreneurs.

It is worth noting that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, in its third edition, aims to create a generation of young leaders from the Non-Aligned Countries with a vision in line with the South-South Partnership, and raise awareness of the role of the Non-Aligned Movement historically and its future role, in addition to activating the role of the Youth Network of the Member States of the Non-Aligned Movement NYN and networking the most influential young leaders at the level of non-aligned countries and friendly countries.
