Youth Ministry holds panel discussion on public diplomacy
The Youth and Sports Ministry held on Friday a panel discussion on public diplomacy as a part of the third edition of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, under the auspices of the president.
The discussions tackled the role of cultural diplomacy and Egypt’s efforts to preserve heritage and culture, the importance of strengthening the bonds of relations between peoples and upholding the language of communication and acceptance of the other, as well as the pivotal role of cultural diplomacy.
The attendees, including youth leaders from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, touched on the deeply-rooted Egyptian-Uzbek ties.
In the third edition, the fellowship seeks to highlight the role of Non-aligned youth in developing South-South cooperation in light of a rapidly changing world and how to develop this cooperation through youth as an effective and sustainable mechanism with a focus on the role of women.
On his part, Hassan Ghazaly, General Coordinator of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, touched on the importance of the topic of this dialogue session on water security, which is a national security that must be preserved. He stressed that this file should be managed carefully and wisely because of its great importance to the future of peoples and countries. Moreover, he indicated that Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership aims to transfer the ancient Egyptian experience in building national institutions, in addition to working on creating a generation of young leaders from non-aligned countries with a vision in line with the South-South partnership, and raising awareness of the role of the Non-Aligned Movement.
