Nasser Fellowship graduate meets Assistant and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports

Hamza Abdi wahab, a graduate of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, third batch, and Somali's Minister Councellor of Youth and Sports met with both: Dr. Abdullah Al-Batish, Assistant  Minister of Youth and Sports for Youth Policies and  Development, and Moustafa Magdi, Deputy Minister of  Youth and Sports for Youth Policies and  Development. This took place at the Ministry's General Office. 

In the meeting, they discussed youth diplomacy file and ways to activate bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Somalia's Ministry of Youth and Sports. They also discussed activities and  programs that can be implemented during the comming period, as well as, reviewing the Egyptian National Adolescents and Youth Strategy 2022-2027. 

 Moreover, in the framework of the youth exchange, the meeting dealt with the possibility of hosting a youth delegation from Somalia, and the preparation for  a visit of  Somalia's Minister of Youth and Sports  on the sidelines of the Arab Youth Day, which will be held during July 2022 in Cairo.

During the period from May 31 to June 17, 2022 at the Engineering Authority House in Cairo, Egypt's Ministry of Youth and Sports organized the activities of the Nasser Fellowship in its third edition under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, as 150 young leaders from non-aligned countries and friendly countries participated in these events. 

The Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership aims to transfer the long established Egyptian experience in  building consolidated national institutions, as well as creating a generation of young leaders from non-aligned countries with a vision in line with the South-South Partnership. Moreover, the Fellowship aims at raising awareness of the role of the Non-Aligned Movement historically and its role in the future. In addition to this, it aims at activating the role of  member states' youth network  in  the Non-Aligned Movement  NAM, and networking the most influential young leaders at the level of non-aligned countries and friendly countries.

As indicated by the fifth objective of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030,  the Fellowship aims at giving an equal opportunity to both genders.  Young people are also given the opportunity to mingle with each other and make partnerships in various fields, not only at the continental level, but also globally, as indicated by the seventeenth objective of the goals of  sustainable development.
