Hayam El Tabakh: A Youth Voice in the Egyptian Parliament and a Model of Ambitious Female Leadership

Among these rising stars is MP Hayam Mohamed El Tabakh, a member of the Egyptian House of Representatives representing the Coordination Committee of Party Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP). Her journey began with her graduation from the second cohort of the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP), where she gained strategic insights and leadership skills that paved the way for her active engagement in public affairs. Soon after, she joined the CPYP and quickly became one of its most dynamic contributors to political discourse and decision-making.
El Tabakh’s entry into Parliament was not just another career step—it was a natural progression of her growing ambition to represent youth voices, advocate for their rights, and seek practical solutions to their challenges. Her energetic and committed performance in Parliament earned her the prestigious role of *representing the Egyptian House of Representatives at the Arab Parliamentary Scouts Union, reflecting the high level of trust placed in her at both national and Arab levels.
Before joining Parliament, she served as the Assistant Governor for Development in Kafr El-Sheikh, where she led and supported various development initiatives focused on youth, women, and community empowerment.
El Tabakh also brings rich professional experience from the international development sector. She previously worked as Refugee Partnerships Officer at Save the Children International, and Program Officer for Smallholder Farmers' Agriculture at CARE International, gaining practical expertise in sustainable development, social justice, and support for vulnerable communities.
As a certified trainer and lecturer, she has collaborated with numerous local and international institutions, including the National Training Academy (under the Presidency of Egypt), the Egyptian Cabinet, UNICEF Egypt, and the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Social Solidarity, and Education, as well as the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, among others.
