Dr. Adel El-Adawy

Dr. Adel El-Adawy is Assistant Professor of International Relations at the American University in Cairo, and he graduated from the Presidential Youth Leadership Program, in its first edition.

Dr. Adel El-Adawy holds a Ph.D. from the Department of War Studies, King's College, London, and a Masters degree in political science from the American University in Washington, DC.

 

Previously, Dr. El-Adawy held the position of Executive Director of the International Economic Forum for Egypt, and was also a Fellow at NATO College in Rome, where he studied practical and political cooperation between Egypt and NATO in the Mediterranean arena.

El-Adawy also held several senior positions in prominent think tanks such as the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the American Security Project, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the Middle East Institute, and the International Research Center in Cairo.

Dr. Adel El-Adawy's research and publications have mainly focused on civil-military relations in the Arab world, national security and geopolitical issues in the Middle East and North Africa, and Egyptian foreign policy for the twenty-first century.
