Here in Egypt, We Feel a Sense of Fraternity with Arabism and Our Brotherly Lebanon
Translated by Mariam Essa
I am beyond delighted with this opportunity that brings together Egyptian youth with the youth of Lebanon and mentors of Lebanese youth so that they may feel the fraternity that unites the Lebanese people with their brothers and sisters among the Egyptian people. I am pleased that these visits are continuous and aim at serving the common good of the Arab world.
The mission that rests upon your shoulders is greater than the one that rests upon ours, since you experience the genuine feelings that spring from the Egyptian people, so you return carrying the genuine fraternity you have found in Egypt and its people. Therefore, this would be the greatest factor in strengthening both heartfelt and spiritual unity, a unity that is our safeguard, in which our strength is embodied and through which we support one another against global rapacities.
Here in Egypt, we feel a sense of fraternity with Arabism and our brotherly Lebanon. As officials in Egypt, we act toward strengthening this bond by sending your brothers and sisters from here to get to know you in Lebanon. We hope these visits would be recurring and you would advocate for them as they help protect the Arab homeland from foreign domination, strengthen it and enhance all its capacities.
Your recurring visits strengthen both Lebanon and Egypt; it is the noblest purpose for which you can all strive. I hope your numbers will increase in the coming times so that the effects of this fraternity and solidarity may become evident throughout the Arab world, in order that the political, economic, social, and cultural foundations that help build the great Arab homeland may continue to prosper.
