Protecting Our Nationalism Is Conditioned To Heading To The Future
Brothers,
After the recent incident and the latest aggression against Gaza, I stated that I would utter no more words, holding the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces accountable. Thus far on this occasion, I wish to say to you: we shall never forget… We shall never forget the conspiracies devised to eliminate Arab nationalism in Palestine…We shall never forget them. And if you, the people of Palestine, have regarded them as directed against you, then we, the people of Egypt, consider them to have been directed against us as well.
Protecting our nationalism is conditioned to heading to the future, a nationalism into which they managed to break through, from which they eliminated Arab identity and Arab nationality and in which they implanted a foreign nationalism, a foreign language and foreign peoples on a cherished part of the Arab land. These conspiracies have not concluded; they are still operating as they have been for decades and we, in Egypt, stand vigilant against them.
All I ask of you is to be patient and to work. All I ask of the Arab nation is to reflect upon and learn lessons from the Jews: deeds, not words…to work and to unite so that we may preserve our nationalism.
This is what I wanted to say. May Allah watch over you and protect you.
May the peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you.
