Egypt has a strategy for electricity linkage with neighbouring countries and many countries in the world, Egypt is a hub for connecting electricity between Arab and African countries and the world. “Africa has a huge renewable energy, and we are working to benefit from it.”

On the power linkage with Sudan, the connection with Sudan has already taken place since April 2020 by 240 megawatts according to the needs of Sudan in the current period.

The interconnection networks have been implemented to pump 500 megawatts in the future, indicating that the Sudanese side has technical problems in the network and Egypt has offered to provide its services in that regard.

the existence of electricity interconnection projects with many countries, pointing out that the largest country that is currently connected with it is Jordan and Libya.
Egypt seeks to become a corridor for renewable energy, which is a plan and strategy developed by the state for implementation shortly

Egypt is cooperating with African organizations to achieve this path, stressing that Africa is rich in renewable energy, and Egypt is an integral part of the brown continent.

The plan is to link all of Africa with each other in the power linkage, noting that the world after about 20 years from now will be in a unified electricity network.

Africa has many renewable energy means, and Egypt may be the link that connects European and African energy, and this will be beneficial by strengthening the electricity networks.

Egypt has a large abundance in the production of electric energy, and we have very large capabilities that we were able to export to neighbouring countries, noting that studies are being done now, especially the electricity connection between Egypt and East African countries.
