VIDEO| The Youth liason officer of the African Peer Review Mechanism Congratulates the fourth anniversary of founding Nasser International Youth Movement
In a warm and passionate spirit for the successive victories of the members of the African Peer Review Mechanism, who are youth leaders at the level of the African continent, Lennon Monyae, Youth Affairs Officer at APRM, Nasser International Youth Movement, expressed his congratulations for the fourth anniversary of its founding. This was stated on the sidelines of the first consultative conference for African youth, which was held in the Kingdom of Morocco, coinciding with the celebrations of the free peoples of the seventieth anniversary of the glorious July Revolution.
In a related context, Lennon Monyae stressed that Nasser Youth Movement played an important role in promoting regional and continental integration, especially at the level of the youth sector, pointing to what Nasser Youth Movement has been working on in consolidating the principles of African unity, in addition to its great role in integrating the youth of the world through the events, seminars, meetings, and conferences it launches as well as training programs using technological means. He concluded, "Long live Africa...Long live Africa towards regional integration."
For his part, Hassan Ghazaly, founder of Nasser International Youth Movement, and leader of the communication and media team in the Peer Review Mechanism representing the North African region, expressed his happiness with the continental responses from decision-makers and diplomats about the organic impact of the movement among youth circles, especially youth leaders in the African Peer Review Mechanism, pointing to the APRM's keenness on integrating youth from all over the continent into its work mechanisms, stressing that it was a close step towards consolidating the concepts and culture of transformational leadership in Africa, pointing to Nasser Youth Movement's keenness on strengthening governance and spread the principles of good governance, as one of the the most important foundations towards achieving sustainable development.
Ghazaly also expressed his pleasure and thankfulness to Professor Eddie Maluka, Executive Director of the African Peer Review Mechanism, for choosing him in this position as the leader of the international communication and media team representing the North African region, under the name of APRM Regional Communication Champion, referring to the support of APRM, and its participation in many Events and activities launched.
In a related context, Ghazaly explained that in his role as the leader of the international media team, he participated as a speaker at the highly representative African Summit for South-South Cooperation, entitled "Building Resilient and Resilient Societies in Africa and the Global South", December 2021, as well as his participation in the media coverage for many events and conferences held by the Mechanism, including the Continental Youth Forum to Discuss Digital Governance, Digital Trade, Security and Digital Rights, December 2021, and the Forum for Peace and Conflict Prevention in Africa, in partnership with the Peace and Security Council of the African Union, December 2021, in addition to the 31st Forum States and Governments, which was held in February 2022.
Ghazaly concluded his speech by stressing the importance of setting mechanism to consolidate the values of democracy, good governance, and respect for human rights in the African continent, pointing to Egypt’s welcome and full support for strengthening the mechanisms of joint African action, and Egypt’s keenness on committing to implementing African development goals, pointing out that Egypt has achieved about 45% of the ambitions of Agenda 2063, which was confirmed by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi when he convened with the delegation of the African Peer Review Mechanism, last February 2022.
