Ambassador Lutfi Rauf

Ambassador Lutfi Rauf is an Indonesian diplomat who has served as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Indonesia to Egypt. He was appointed by President Joko Widodo on June 22, 2021, to fill the position that had been vacant for over a year.
Lutfi Rauf was born in Watansoppeng, South Sulawesi on September 19, 1961. He has been serving as the President Commissioner of PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) since April 2020.
He completed his Bachelor's degree (S-1) in International Relations at Hasanuddin University and his Master's degree (S-2) in Political Science at Victoria University of Wellington.
Previously, he served as Director of Information and Media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2004-2006), Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Indonesia to the Slovak Republic (2007-2008), Head of State Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2008-2012), and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Indonesia to Thailand (2012-2016).
He underwent a fit and proper test at the House of Representatives Commission I, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
