Nasser Youth Movement’s Member is the New Vice-President of Union of Democratic Youth (SHADA)
Walid Donqul, a graduate of the Nasser Scholarship for International Leadership and a member of the Nasser Youth Movement, won the position of Vice President of the Youth Union of the Egyptian Democratic Party, after highly competitive internal elections conducted by the Social Democratic Union, via electronic voting. The final result was marked by the representation of different governorates, including the victory of Menoufia. headed by the Federation, Qena Governorate as Secretary for Organization and Vice-President of the Federation, Fayoum as Secretary for Education and Political Training, Giza for the Women’s Secretariat, and Qalyubia Governorate in charge of localities, while Aswan, Assiut and Cairo assumed membership in the Executive Office.
The young leader “Walid Donqul” is recognized for his effective, strong and widespread societal influence. His participation in public work began in 2012 through the Students’ Union of Qena University. After graduating from the Faculty of Social Work, he worked in the Information Committee of the Social Professions Syndicate in Qena in 2017, and a member of the Executive Office of the Organization Social Democratic Youth (Shada), then held the position of Assistant Secretary for Youth for the Egyptian Social Democratic Party in Qena Governorate, in addition to being the head of the organizing committee for all activities of the Qena Governorate Secretariat of the party (Qena Governorate Secretariat Conference), and also worked as an official for the party’s training committee in Upper Egypt. Then a member of the Central Information Secretariat of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, and finally his influential role as a member of the Committee for the Societal Evaluation Gate of Egyptian Hospitals.
He also worked as a general coordinator and organizer of many activities, most notably a training course on "The Local System in Egypt", in addition to his work on coordinating educational training for university students in 2021, in addition to coordinating the training course to introduce localities through the Central Youth Union in 2021, as well as his contributions to Several political educational events, including a panel discussion titled “Young People’s Participation with Localities and Its Importance.”
For his part, Hassan Ghazaly, the founder of the Nasser Youth Movement, stressed the importance of empowering, training and qualifying the people of the Upper Egypt governorates, and pushing their cadres to the front ranks as one of the most important mechanisms that contribute effectively to the development of Upper Egypt by building these cadres, pointing out that the main reason for his selection of the active leader Walid Donqul is his societal influence that predicts a better future for the people of Upper Egypt, especially Qena Governorate, referring to his tireless work to empower the people of Upper Egypt and the border governorates by giving them the opportunity to participate in international youth programs that he supervises.
It should be noted that the Nasser Youth Movement is one of the most important platforms for the most prominent and influential youth leaders from about 65 countries around the world, representing five continents (Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, and Europe), with the aim of developing communities, exchanging experiences and expertise, and networking them with decision-makers and experts locally, regionally and internationally. , as well as maximizing the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, Afro-Asian solidarity, and cooperation for the south-south.
