Real view about the leader Gamal Abdel Nasser
Par: Johny Biboum
Africa, our Africa, has several personalities and illustrious anonymous who over the years have brought the voice of our continent to the pinnacle. We can't name them all, but names spring up and spring up over stories and discoveries, in time and space. Samory Touré, Sankara, Kwame Nkrumah, Um Nyob, Gaddafi, Biya, but many others, without forgetting Gamal Abdel Nasser.
Particular attention can be paid to this last leader Nasser, who arouses and arouses immense curiosity.
In view of everything that is read in various works, seen and especially after the visit to the Nasser Museum in Egypt (Cairo), Gamal Abdel Nasser is a living demonstration of the strength of patriotism. For us, he is a reference of patriotism but also an atypical figure for African unity.
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the founding of the Nasser Youth Movement, and coinciding with the seventieth anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, we wish to remember its great historical role in supporting African national liberation movements, it will be appropriate to recall its major role in dexterity, to nationalize the Suez Canal
His river speech, lasting nearly 2 hours, in which he announced the nationalization of the Suez Canal, echoed strong terms; "dignity", "triumph", "fortress of honor and glory". Terms whose lexical field will galvanize and inspire other African leaders of the time and in particular the Ghanaian Nkrumah with whom he had become friends.
Today this Suez Canal brings in a Trifle of 15 million dollars a day for the happiness of the Egyptian populations and makes them happy and proud. Do we not hear them proclaim loud and clear: "impossible is not Egyptian"?
All in all, Nasser is one of these African figures for us, a figure of emancipation in Africa, while being fundamentally considered a “non-aligned” despite the Soviet logistical and financial support from Moscow.
May this leader and his concrete actions participate in the edification and inspiration of young Africans today, in order to help them lead various communities towards the best tomorrows.
