The Egyptian Cabinet is a partner and official sponsor of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership

 The Egyptian Council of Ministers is the main executive body of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and it consists of the Prime Minister and ministers, who are part of the government, which is the supreme executive and administrative body of the state.
The main tasks of the Prime Minister are to issue the necessary regulations for the implementation of laws, including delaying, modifying, or exempting from their implementation. Moreover, the Council has the right to mandate other to issue laws and regulations unless the law determines who should issue such regulations required for its implementation. The prime minister also made decrees required to establish facilities and public institutions after the approval of the Council of Ministers, in addition to issuing controling regulations after the approval of the Council of Ministers.

The minister shall set the policy of his ministry in coordination with the related authorities, and follow up its implementation, guidance and control, within the framework of the general policy of the state. The positions of the senior management of each ministry shall include a permanent undersecretary, in order to ensure institutional stability and raise the level of efficiency in implementing its policy.


The governmental mandates and competencies are also represented in participating with the President of the Republic in setting the state’s general policy and supervising its implementation, preserving the security of the homeland, protecting the rights of citizens and the interests of the state, directing the work of ministries and their affiliated public bodies and authorities, coordinating and supervising them, in addition to preparing draft laws and decisions, and issuing administrative decisions in accordance with the law, following up on its implementation, preparing the draft general plan of the state, preparing the draft general budget for the state, contracting and granting loans in accordance with the provisions of the constitution, and implementing laws.
