Today, Sunday morning, the Ministry of Youth and Sports organized a dialogue session entitled "The Egyptian Experience in Empowering Youth" in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Afifi, Head of the Parliament's Central Administration and Civic Education, Nagwa Salah, Head of the Central Administration for Cultural and Voluntary Programs, and Randa Al-Bitar, Director of the Administration  General Coordinator of the Youth and Pioneering Parliament, and Hassan Ghazali, General Coordinator of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership.

This came at the inauguration of the fifth day activities of the the third edition of the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, organized under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. 150 young leaders from non-aligned countries and friendly countries have participated in this edition whoes activities will be held during the period from  May, 31 until June,17, 2022 at the Engineering Authority House in Cairo under the slogan “Youth of Non-Alignment and South Cooperation in the South.”

The dialogue session, which was titled "The Egyptian Experience in Empowering Youth", hosted Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, Dr. Hazem Hilal, representative of the Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians, Dr. Mohamed El-Senussi, representative of the National Training Academy, Dr. Mustafa Magdy, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, and Mohamed Jaber, media spokesperson for the Egyptian Youth Parliament.

At the beginning of his speech at the opening session of the  fifth day activities of the the third edition of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, 

   thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports for the kind invitation to attend this important session on youth empowerment within the activities of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership. He reviewed his experience since finding the opportunity to participate in the Presidential Program for Youth Rehabilitation, then assuming the position of Deputy Governor of Port Said, leading to his assumption of the position of Governor of Beni Suef.  His access to the position was the result of the state’s project to prepare young people for leadership, which resulted in assigning a large number of young people to a number of senior positions within the Egyptian state, and this was also done with the deputy governors and governors. Pointing out that  young people's capabilities  must be made use of by  empowering them, as the whole world is turning to empowering young people in senior positions. The experience of empowering young people is not only in Egypt, but there are many countries in the world that pursue the experience of empowering young people and giving them access to senior positions and decision-making positions. Ghoneim added that the leadership is not a grant, but rather a science that is made. The Egyptian state pursues the science of leadership, leadership industry and youth empowerment based on knowledge and understanding of the position and role of the Egyptian state as well as  creating the best elements whose presence is effective and not for the sake of presence only. Empowering young people is no longer an experience, but rather a state project with the aim of benefiting from the capabilities of young people after their rehabilitation and integrating with experienced people in society to contribute to building the state under the new republic. 

During his speech at the opening session of fifth day activities of the  third edition of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, Dr. Hazem Hilal, a representative of the Youth Coordination of Parties and Politicians, reviewed the experience of establishing the Coordination of Youth Parties and Politicians as a true example of youth empowerment and the coordination viewpoint in empowering youth.  He addressed what the coordination achieved from the beginning until the present time, and what this experience witnessed of real empowerment of young people, as it was the gateway to the new republic and contributed to the involvement of all the youth of the country to support and transfer Egypt from the old republic to the new and unify the thinking of young people and gather them under one umbrella whose goal is to work  In the interest of the Egyptian state. Moreover, he included the Youth Conference, which was the most prominent station, alongside series of events that confirmed the intention of the political leadership to empower youth, hoping that the coming years would witness more interest in youth and an increase in political awareness among young people.

During his speech at the opening of  fifth day activities of the  third edition of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, Dr. Muhammad Al-Senussi, a representative of the National Training Academy, reviewed the experience of the National Training Academy and the date of its establishment by a republican resolution in 2017 as one of the recommendations of the National Youth Conference in 2016. He explained that the National Training Academy is not a decorative or formal empowerment, but rather undertakes the training process on the latest training programs, providing training and transformative education as an intellectual stimulus to encourage youth energies to develop. Al-Senussi presented the various programs offered by the Academy, the foundations and criteria for selecting trainees through the tests that are conducted, in addition to the Academy's work in initiatives for many  to offer at  the level of empowerment in the country.  Pointing out that the National Training Academy spares no effort in enhancing confidence in young people as its keen on providing adequate support to young people through the important qualification programs it offers that work to enhance their capabilities, with the presence of a number of decision makers, whether at the level of ministers, governors or heads of organizations who belong to the  youth category that is fully empowered. 

In his speech at the dialogue session, Mohamed Jaber, the media spokesman for the Egyptian Youth Parliament, thanked Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, for his constant support to empowering young people and giving them full opportunities in positions, which is the support and empowerment that stems from the thought of the Egyptian state. He talked about his experience in the Egyptian Youth Parliament, and about the idea of ​​empowering youth, whose beginning came from the belief of the Egyptian state and political leadership in the importance of rehabilitating and empowering young people.  Reviewing the experience of the Youth Parliament and the Pioneering Parliament at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This important experience that is witnessing a golden age in light of the interest of the Minister of Youth and Sports and the results and impact of this experience, whose graduates have become leaders in senior positions in the executive and legislative sectors in the Egyptian state.  Jaber added that the Ministry of Youth and Sports receives young people from childhood and determines what they want in the future and helps them understand their tools and provide appropriate training, scientifically and practically, so that we will have pioneers and young people who are no more than 25 years old, who can talk about parliamentary tools and the awareness part of youth and pioneers.

During his speech at the opening of  fifth day activities of the third edition of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, Dr. Mustafa Magdy, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, indicated that there are three stages until countries reach the empowerment of youth. The first of them is to listen to the youth, which is what the Egyptian state did in the pre-empowerment stage, then comes the stage of engaging the youth, then the stage of truly empowering young people in various positions, places and decision-making positions in the state. Magdy reviewed his personal experience and the environment that enabled the young man from the beginning until he assumed this position as the youngest assistant to the minister at the level of the Republic, calling on young people to learn about the Egyptian experience in empowering youth and the national strategy for youth and the young generation that emerged from youth to youth. Finally, he gave thanks to Dr. Ashraf  Sobhi Ali for trusting him and choosing him for this position.

 participants in the third edition of Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership asked questions and made inquiries and interventions during the dialogue session of the activities of the fifth day of the fellowship, which came about empowering young people amid interaction, great hospitality, as everyone was happy with this distinguished session.

Hassan Ghazaly, General Coordinator of the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership in its third edition, pointed out that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership gives an equal opportunity for both genders, as indicated by the fifth goal of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, as well as empowering youth and giving the opportunity for actors from different countries of the world to communicate with each other and form partnerships in various  Domains, not only at the continental level, but also at the global level, as indicated by the seventeenth goal of the sustainable development goals.

Ghazaly added that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, in its third edition, aims to transfer the ancient Egyptian experience in consolidating and building national institutions, as well as creating a generation of young leaders from non-aligned countries with a vision in line with the South-South partnership, and raising awareness of the historically and future role of the Non-Aligned Movement.  In addition to activating the role of the youth network of the member states of the Non-Aligned Movement NYN, and networking the most influential young leaders at the level of non-aligned countries and friendly countries.
