Ghazaly speaks about youth, culture and translation at the Supreme Council of Culture

Hassan Ghazaly, the founder of BOZOOR (seeds) project and a member of the youth committee at the Supreme Council of Culture participated in a panel discussion on “Youth and Perspectives of Culture and Translation” which was held on Tuesday Sept, 13 at the headquarter at Cairo Opera House under the auspices of Dr.Neveen Al-Kilany, the Minister of Culture and Hesham Azmy the secretary general of the Supreme Council of Culture.
In his statement, Ghazaly pointed out the relationship of culture to translation, explaining the importance of qualifying translators and hone their skills not only professionally but also culturally developing them especially during their course of study, having significant influence on their career after graduation. He also referred to his tireless work on preparing a highly cultured person capable of administration and cultural development through BOZOOR (seeds) project of parallel education. It was launched in 2015 and applied to youth translators in April 2022 and the first batch is to graduate in days.
In a related context, a group of winners of Youth Translators Competition on Environment and Climate which was organized by the Supreme Council of Culture participated in the discussion, of whom are Omnia Samir, a Swahili translator, Shaimaa Mohamed, a French translator, Qiaty Ashour, an English translator Kerolos Bakhit, a Portuguese translator and Marina Magdy, a Russian translator. During which they recounted their fruitful experience in Translation in several topics such as “enhancing capacity to adapt with climate change”, “solutions to combat climate change”, “the sociology of climate change and society”, “Biodiversity in Africa and South America” and finally “assessing changes in spring wheat productivity”.
