Why is it the land of good things and the cradle of civilizations, and what is the reason for calling it the brown continent?

The brown continent is a term given to the continent of Africa; the reason for the name came from the fact that the majority of the continent's population is black and brown-skinned, more than 75%. Africa is also represented in the Olympic Games by a black circle.

Our beloved continent, Africa, is one of the oldest continents in the world. It is the cradle of life in which man lived at the beginning of his life after a long journey of migration until he settled in a place where he made a house to shelter himself and grew food to feed himself, so he began working in agriculture, raising livestock, and hunting on African lands.

Also, the oldest continents of the world are Africa, Asia, and Europe, and it is also the cradle of ancient civilizations, the most important of which is the ancient civilization of Egypt, which arose on the banks of the Nile River, which is the longest river in the world.

The origin of nature, as it abounds with what is not found in any other continent of natural wealth represented in the plateaus, plains, and rivers; the picturesque nature that fascinates the eyes; and its diverse climate, which led to the diversity of agricultural wealth and crops, making it of great economic value, in addition to the mineral wealth, including what is present on the surface of the earth, including what is buried in its interior; and the extraction of black gold, which is petroleum.

Prehistoric times: the continent of Africa is considered the oldest inhabited continent, as it was inhabited by man seven million years ago, and he was working at that time in agriculture and depended on the Nile River for rain, hunting, and livestock breeding.

The eras of the first civilizations: These civilizations were concentrated in North Africa, such as the Pharaonic civilization, and then other civilizations followed.

Its history from the ninth century to the eighteenth century: Africa at that time included ten thousand countries and was characterised by many political systems and institutions, such as small families of fishermen, clans, kingdoms, and Swahili cities, and the Almoravid descendants of the Berber dynasties.

Finally, colonialism: Where European countries competed for their colonisation, in 1914 all the lands of the continent of Africa were occupied except for two countries, namely Liberia and the state of Ethiopia known as Abyssinia.

Then,  after World War II, African countries began to revolt to obtain their independence one after the other, until the rest of the countries gained independence.

The greed of the countries of the rest of the continents for it is due, as we mentioned earlier, to its abundant bounties, its distinguished location, and its attractions, and this continent will remain a source of bounties.
